The AutoCAD 2018 installation from the Autodesk Accounts portal or from AutoCAD trial download site installation failed.
A common cause of Autodesk software from the product trial and Autodesk accounts portal is “Install Now” method. This method streamlines (downloads and Installs the software simultaneously) an Autodesk software installation, and if downloading software components fail during your Autodesk software installation that could result the installation failure.
To begin troubleshooting, remove all previous installation attempts using the clean install process: Clean uninstall of AutoCAD or verticals.
Following the clean uninstall, use an alternative download method to obtain new installation files – such as Download Now or Browser Download or Autodesk Virtual Agent (AVA) to download the software installer.
Note: If using AVA or downloading AutoCAD 2018 installer with Browser Download method, save all parts of AutoCAD 2018 installer in the same folder (for example, C:\Autodesk). Then double-click on the first file (the file that has 001 in its name) to start the product installers extraction process.
Install AutoCAD 2018 as follows:
- Log on as an Administrator.
- Empty your TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Explorer and hit Enter.
- Disable your Antivirus software.
- Turn off User Account Control in Windows
- Install AutoCAD 2018.
