Interlock CO2 Sensor with Fresh Air Unit.
- When more people, CO2 PPM >700 PPM => Turn On Ventilation Fan/HRV (Low Fan)
- CO2 level > 1000 PPM (more people coming) => Turn On Ventilation Fan/HRV (High Speed)
- When less people, CO2 PPM <700 PPM => Turn off Ventilation Fan/HRV
PPM = parts per million (ppm). It’s a measurement of concentration on a weight or volume basis. Parts per million by mass is equivalent to milligrams per liter (mg/L). Parts per million by volume is a common way to measure concentrations of gases.
Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) is a system that uses the heat in stale exhaust air to preheat incoming fresh air. This reduces the energy required to bring outside air up to ambient room temperature. Hence, we can save money on HVAC bills.
Similar to the human breathing system as mentioned above, this exchange of air is performed in a single area of the home, the lung of your home, your HRV ventilator core.
