Some of the work you may support or lead depending on the division and your areas of interest include:
Review of Site Development Drawings (road, storm drainage, sewer, grading, erosion control) for compliance with County regulations.
Inspecting Pierce County bridges, Pierce County Parks bridges and local agency bridges and writing corresponding reports on inspection observations. Bridge design and Contract plans and specification preparation and engineer’s estimates for construction projects.
Transportation improvement projects
Computer-aided design software, storm water modeling software, and spreadsheets to complete geometric designs for road and storm sewer projects, conduct engineering calculations, prepare alternatives analysis, write reports
Preparing construction plans for capital projects using AutoCAD/Civil 3D

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications will vary for level of position with our entry level requiring: A Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or in last semester of program or closely related field
OR registration as an Engineer-In-Training
OR four years of progressively responsible, broad-based civil engineering experience is required.
Education and work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
